CineDante brings the magic of Italian cinema to Christchurch, offering a delightful experience for film lovers. Each year, we carefully select a few Italian films that have captured our hearts, and we hope they’ll capture yours too!
Please note that viewings are exclusive to members of the Dante Society. If you're not yet a member, you can easily join by paying the annual subscription on the night. Excitingly, all 2025 Dante Language Students are automatically considered financial members of the Dante Alighieri Society. Join us at Kohinga: St. Albans Community Centre, located at 1049 Colombo Street. For your convenience, there's a car park behind the centre on Caledonian Road. Come along to the Aperitivo Dante and enjoy a glass of wine and a chat in Italian (or English) before the film. Aperitivo Dante begins at 7pm with the film beginning at 7.30pm. There’s no charge for attending CineDante, but we kindly ask for a gold coin koha to help support the evening. Please keep in mind that film screenings are subject to availability and may occasionally change due to circumstances beyond our control.
