Join us for a ‘Passeggiata fuori porta’, a traditional Sunday outing with friends and family in our beautiful city, Ōtautahi. Experience the excitement of paddling a hand-crafted waka down the river Avon and learn about the importance of the waka to Māori culture. The tour (including mihi and instructions) will last about 45 minutes.
For those wishing to stay for lunch or coffee and ‘una chiacchierata in italiano’, after the waka paddle, we will walk to the Riverside Market.
Meeting Place: The Margaret Mahy playground, by the Manchester Street bridge.
When: Sunday 16th October at 10.00am
Waka tour price: $20 per person (Sorry, no EFTPOS available. Cash only).

On 3rd November come and join us at Kohinga: St. Albans Community Centre to celebrate the release of the book of memoirs by Wilma Laryn, former president of Dante Society and teacher at our Scuola.
