Book Review Competition -
Settimana della lingua italiana nel mondo
We’re glad to announce that the winner of the Week of Italian Language in the World Book Review Competition is Sue Bannister, for her review of Il Castagno dei Cento Cavalli!
We were very impressed by the quality of all the entries and would like to thank everyone who took part for their enthusiasm and effort in reading and writing in Italian.

End of the year Aperitivo for all students!
Come with your teachers on Saturday 29 November at 3pm to St Albans Community Centre for a glass of Prosecco and Panettone offered by the Dante Society and much more. An occasion to wish everyone Buon Natale e un Felice Anno Nuovo! Please talk to your Italian tutor for details.

Course Enrolment 2026
Our 2026 course schedule will be available on our website from mid-November. Enrolments will open at that time.
If you would like to sell your secondhand textbook, please get in touch with us — we can help you connect with new students in 2026.
Please note that there will be a small adjustment in 2026 to our course fee. The new fee will be $300 per semester (16 weeks, 1.5 hours per week). This change allows us to continue using our wonderful venue and to maintain our team of dedicated, high-quality teachers. Our courses remain among the most affordable language classes in New Zealand, and we sincerely thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Since our last newsletter, we welcome our new friends Tutto Bene and Labutes to give the Dante members even more benefits.
