Thank you to all for the wonderful lunch we shared on a rainy, miserable winter’s day, Sunday 2nd June, for La Festa della Repubblica. Grazie Carlo and Hayley for hosting us at Avebury House. In the future we hope to be able to enjoy its beautiful gardens.
Another event, which was held a week later, 9th June, at The Piano, was the brilliant concert, Viva L'Italia, presented by the Risingholme Orchestra. Especially emotional was the rendition of ‘Fratelli d’Italia’, the Italian Anthem, sung by Silvia Maggioni, one of our Committee members.
