Help us build a community of Little Italians!
Did you know that in Christchurch there is a considerable community of babies and children under 10 born of Italian or Kiwitalian families?
How great would it be for these 'bambini' to stay connected to their origins and roots by practising Italian while having fun with other kids sharing the same family setting?
At the Dante Alighieri we think it would be a great opportunity for both them and their families to feel a stronger bond with Italy, so we are intending to build a community of piccoli italiani by organising fun Playtimes sessions facilitated by mothertongue Italian teachers where they will be able to sing Italian songs, listen to stories and fairytales in Italian, play games and other fun activities all run in Italian! As we all know though, beautiful 'Rome wasn't built in a day' so to make this happen we need to know how many families would be interested to let their little ones take part in a couple hour Sunday session 1-2 times a month...
If you or anyone you know would be keen, please drop us an email of interest telling us your name, your kid's age, availability etc
Help us spread the word and build a community for little Italians to belong to!
