AGM 2023

Wednesday 15th February

All students and members of the Society are welcome.

Our 2023 AGM is being held at Kohinga: St. Albans Community Centre, 1049 Colombo Street, on Wednesday 15th February at 7.30pm.

7.30pm  - AGM and Election of the Dante Committee.

We will be saying goodbye to Jan who is retiring from the Secretary/School Coordinator voluntary position after many years of faithful service to our Society.

8pm - Maria Fresia will talk about Study Tours in Italy

Maria has kindly agreed to give a brief overview (20 minutes) of the Study Tours she and her sister, Sandra, have organised with the help of their family in Italy since 2011.

Please note that this is not an advertisement for possible future tours. The tours are small (14/16 people max) and the June Study Tour 2023 is already booked out.

Maria hopes that, on the night, students who have participated over the years will be happy to share their experiences and engage in the conversation.

Afterwards we will enjoy a glass of wine and a chiacchierata.

"Exploring Sicily by Ape: A 10-Day Road Trip through the Heart of the Mediterranean". View this link.

Sicily is a stunning island located in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, known for its rich history, beautiful beaches, and delicious cuisine. Luke Renard embarked on a unique journey to discover all that the island has to offer, driving a 1978 Piaggio ape around Sicily for 10 days.

As Luke drove the ape through the countryside, along the coast and through the rich and vibrant Sicilian cities he was able to take in the breath-taking views of rolling hills and ancient ruins, iconic landmarks and stopping to sample the delicious local food along the way.

This adventurous 10-day road trip through Sicily was a truly unforgettable experience. If you're looking for an adventure, consider following along and exploring Sicily by Ape for yourself!

"I grew up in NZ and after Luke and I met in Italy he came and spent some time living and working in NZ, we were based out of Kerikeri in the Bay of Islands and then, after much road-tripping, we lived for some time in Christchurch and loved our experience living there." - Emanuelle Bains
