La Società Dante Alighieri di Christchurch is a non-profit organisation certified as an official chapter of the Società Dante Alighieri.

Membership Information

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in all things Italian, whether it’s a passion for the language, culture, or traditions.
Our membership runs annually from 1st January to 31st December.
  • Single Member: $20.00
  • Single Member (non-waged, pensioner, or student): $12.50
  • Family Membership (up to two adults and two children): $27.50

​Important Notes
Students currently enrolled in our language courses are automatically considered financial members for the year and do not need to submit a membership form.

Membership Benefits

By becoming a member, you can take part in a variety of activities we offer, and you will also have access to discounts and special deals from our amici. 

​​You can use your Dante membership card to receive discount at museums, historic sites, hotels, restaurants and more in Italy, Switzerland, and Spain. The full list of benefit is available here (in Italian).

​How to Join or Renew Your Membership

Please fill the form below. Membership payments can be made via internet banking. Please transfer the exact amount corresponding to your membership type to the account below:

When completing your payment, include the following details:
  • Particulars: Dante Sub
  • Code: Your Membership Type (e.g., Single, Non-Waged, or Family)
  • Reference: Your Initial and Surname

For family memberships, please list the names and contact details of all family members in the form provided below.

After completing the payment, kindly notify us by emailing the Secretary at [email protected] and ensure the membership form below is filled out.

If you woud like to, you can also add a donation to the Society. La Società Dante Alighieri di Christchurch is a registered charity with ‘donee’ status, and we can provide receipts for your donations on request. Any donation will help us with the running of our society.
